I am currently reading Sidelines and Bloodlines by Ryan McGee (of Marty & McGee), Dr. Jerry McGee, and Sam McGee. It is a wonderful discussion of officiating and the love of the game of college football.
Dr. Jerry McGee (Ryan and Sam’s father) was a longtime official. There are great stories about Danny Ford, Vince Dooley, Lou Holtz, and others. Dr. McGee worked several significant games. I think you will enjoy the book.
