Obviously didn’t see all them all but Layden’s game was excellent on Sunday vs. the NJ Scholars.
Blocker arrives at 11 today.
He’ll watch the Hogs workout today & tomorrow.
He and his family will have dinner at Muss’ house tonight.
We’ve just got to have Layden. It seems every time he steps on the court, he gets a little better. At 6’2", he’s a terrific rebounder now. He appears to have it all. He fits the Hogs to a T, and I believe Muss’ offensive and defensive systems fit him to a T.
He does it all: 19 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 3 assts, 1.6 spg. And those stats are while playing against the best high school players in the country at the EYBL events.
Amazing talent, we need him to be a Razorback. It does seem he is expanding his game, playing against great talent is benefitting him.
Oh I could too Senor Davenport. Lets hope he is leading the Hogs here in a few years.
Layden is an Arkansas lock. He used to play Little Rock Christian, a couple of miles from me. He is all Hogs.
Richard, it was quite interesting you called him a Kansas guard in one of your previous articles. I know he is at Sunrise Academy, right now, but he is all Arkansas.
He attended Sunrise so that’s why. I mentioned him playing at LR Christian below.
Blocker, 6-2, 172 pounds, of Sunrise Academy in Kansas, has officially visited Kansas State and Maryland, and he has official visits set for Fayetteville on June 6-8 and Kansas on June 10-12.
He plans to announce his college decision on July 2, his birthday, after attending the NBPA Top 100 Camp. He knows Razorbacks Coach Eric Musselman and his staff will be well organized during this visit.
“They’re going to do a great job,” Blocker said. “I’m going to try and listen to the game plan they have for me if I was to go there, tour the campus and facilities and see what they do on a regular basis.”
Blocker was a member of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette’s All-Arkansas Preps Underclassman Team as a freshman and sophomore at Little Rock Christian. He attended Sunrise for his junior year.
No big deal. My neighbor saw the headline “Kansas guard” and was telling me we are after a guard from Kansas. He didn’t read the article. I just thought it was amusing.
He sure it was my write up?
