Lillis is a LHP who is one of the two Arkansas signees still in negotiations with MLB teams. He was drafted in the 25th round by the Brewers.
I was told his signing a pro contract would be highly dependent on whether the Brewers were able to sign Chad McClanahan, a third baseman from Phoenix who was drafted in the 11th round.
McClanahan signed over the weekend for a reported $1.2 million - or about 10 times slot value. So the prospects look good for Lillis to make it to campus unless he takes less money than he indicated he would.
