Big man Shawn Stith update

Stith, 6-8, 255 said Arkansas offered him on Wednesday. He like Raymond Hawkins is from Oakland.

He said Scotty Thurman compared him to Dwight Stewart because his ability to handle the ball and score inside-out.

Coach Andy Ground said Stith has offers from numerous Big West, Mtn West, Big Sky and the West Coast Conference.

He hasn’t made any OVs. He plans to make an official visit to Arkansas, but no date has been set yet.

Stith averaged 15.9 points and 7 rebounds while shooting 61.7 % from the field and 28% from three. He averaged 13 points and 6.3 rebounds as a freshman.

Arkansas is recruiting him as a four.
