By the way…What A Babe!
What did she do besides have her picture made?
She repeated as the U.S. indoor pole vault champion yesterday: http://www.wholehogsports.com/news/2017 … oor-title/
…shows she was at North Carolina for three years. How did she end up at Arkansas, grad transfer? I thought she was one of the twins from Cabot. Aren’t they good pole vaulters as well?
NBC Sports Network carried the US Indoor Track meet over the weekend. They had a nice feature on Sandi and Michelle Carter who won the Shot Put gold at Rio Olympics taking a balloon ride at the balloon festival underway in Albuquerque. With her looks, Sandi is quickly becoming the Lindsey Vonn of Track&Field.
Once Jen Suhr retires, Sandi and Lexi and Tori Weeks could be 1-2-3 pole vaulters in US and perhaps in the world. That has never happened in any event in Razorback history.

Sandi is from South Carolina. She spent two years at UNC and transferred because she had some things happen in her personal life in Chapel Hill and wanted a new start.
She and her mom took a road trip to Earl Bell’s pole vault place near Jonesboro the summer after her last season at UNC. Meeting some people there and her talent opened the door for Arkansas to become interested.
The Weeks sisters are from Cabot. They are very good; probably will finish 1-2 at the national meet this week. Lexi was the first freshman indoor/outdoor pole vault national champion last year and also made the Olympics.
Lexi Weeks, proud to be a Razorback.
In the Olympic sports, people can transfer once before graduating without the one-year redshirt required in football and basketball. Sandi took advantage of that. So did Taylor Ellis-Watson, our Rio gold medalist in the relay who transferred here from Pitt.
