When I was in school at the U of A from 1966-1972…Coach Broyles was in his heyday. Around town you would see the word “bettah” written everywhere in random places. Coach would say we gotta get “bettah”. He would come to the pep rally on Friday nights at the Greek Theatre and give the students a little pep talk before the game, especially when we were playing Texas. The man could inspire and fire us up. He was somethin’. The man was a great speaker with tremendous charisma. He was a larger than life person.
Your article, Clay, took me back to that. If Coach Morris is half the coach that Coach Broyles was we will be fine.
