Hi guys,

Much more of a lurker on here than I used to be previously. I’ve been reading the talk about staying the course, not giving up on the coach/team/season but I’m not buying it. Rather I think it’s time we as Hog fans hope that Arkansas fails to win a game from here on out and the spectacular collapse triggers a change in leadership. Now some will say, “who will we get that’s better?” No guarantees there, we are going to have to hire an up and comer. But it works for other programs and it can work for us. Not thrilled about Jeff long making the hire but it is what is. Thoughts?

I didn’t root against Arkansas when we had that festering boil on the arse of society, I sure won’t root against Arkansas when we have a man in charge that I respect deeply.

I will never hope Arkansas loses. I’m for the players & coaches regardless of who they are. If at the end of the year decide to get a new coach, I will be for him. If we don’t, I’ll still pull for CBB.

I don’t care for fans who hope we lose on the theory that somehow that’ll make us win more in the future. If that’s what floats your boat, fine, but I’ll never feel that way. I’m with Gentry.

What kind of “fan” hope his team loses? Everyone is certainly entitled to an opinion, but that’s a twisted one in my mind. This is the time to support these coaches and players. I guess your “I told you so” mentality makes you feel good which is pretty sad…

I just can’t even to speed up the board’s interest in replacing any head coach which I believe is your motive.

I will say the danger of waiting until the seasons conclusion is upsetting a top 10 team or becoming bowl eligible to prolong his employment 1 more season.

The best case scenario is he runs the table the remainder of the schedule (including BAMA) which re-entergizes the fan base with optimism.

Or Coach BB is let go by game 10 or 11 allowing a search committee a head start on Tennessee, LSU, Notre Dame etc…

Well this post is aging like fine wine. I don’t want Arkansas to lose by any means, I just caught on to Bert being a piss poor coach before some of the rest did. How many more whoopins do the Hogs have to get before we let Bert go? I’m not sure we beat Coastal, let alone Missouri. Tough times Hogs fans.

[/quote]Since you brought this back, are we supposed to congratulate you, make you Sage of the Board or what?It seems you are very proud of yourself. But you saying you don’t want the Hogs to lose seems a little disingenuous, as it seems you enjoy being able to pat yourself on your back, not to mention the original statement saying otherwise.
