Best onion rings?

I go with Corky’s.

Got an NIL deal with Joe Kleine, Richard? :yum:

Not yet. I sung the praises for their onion rings for several years now. Long before NIL.

They’re freshly made which makes them legit. I can deal with store bought but the in-house rings are the best.

Gotta try those on my next visit. Best ever was a BBQ chain in NOLA named Luthers. Just plain wonderful. When we lived there in 83 we typically visited it once a week. My oldest daughter was 4 and could not pronounce her T’s so she called them Lufers……I think they are out of business these days.

Not exactly “rings”, but, IMO, the Blooming Onion at the Outback is the best fried onion anywhere. Their dip for the onion pieces is also great.

My favorite is the onion strings from Dink’s Pit Bar-B-Que in Bartlesville, OK. When I first moved to Fayetteville, they had a location on Rainbow Curve in Bentonville. (That location closed a few years ago.) I would get a half side of ribs, an order of onion strings, and extra sauce. Now I’m hungry.

I may need to make a trip back to Bartlesville and bring some of that good stuff home.

Those rings at Corkys ARE legit! Couple other places with great onion rings…Sonic(just kidding) Superior Steakhouse in Shreveport and Catfish Charlie’s in Monroe(thin rings). Those rings at Superior appear a foot tall on that plate! There’s a place down around Destin where we had great onion rings many years ago, but I can’t recall the name of the place. The sauce makes great rings.

They are hard to find

Those onion strings (which are pretty amazing) are not nearly as good when warmed up. FWIW

My mouth waters at the thought of fried onion rings, fried green tomatoes, and fried okra. All fresh of course.

@RichardDavenport Are those rings fat free by chance?

I can put them in my toaster oven for a short time and they are pretty darned good.

I get Dinks 2-3 times a year. I’ll give that a try - we always get a half-order of strings (because a full order would feed the basketball team).

If you’re in the area, try onion rings at Shangri La resort on Lake Ouachita….they’re great.

Best onion rings I have had are the Venetian Inn in Tontitown. Corky’s in Little Rock are good, too.

Only eat bad at Chili’s.

True. When I lived in Bartlesville, I always got a half order. But at the store in Bentonville, their order was the same as a half order from the original Dink’s.
