With a fantastic, unbelievable game ending play that saved the game for Boston!
Laid it all out, literally, to make that diving catch!
Wow!
That was an incredible play; will probably go down in Boston as an all-timer if they win the World Series. It was risky. Had the ball gotten by him, the Astros would have scored three and won.
It was definitely do or die. And, if you die in Boston, they will never let you forget it. Of all the pro sports towns, Boston ranks as one of the top three as most cruel. They will slit your throats and drink your blood in that town. Yes, that’s an old Joe Kines quote. I refuse to let it die.
love the former hog
hate the Red Sox
How many times did Benny make that kind of catch at Baum! He was the most incredible athlete I have ever seen at Baum and we have had some great ones! I have been season ticket holder since 96.
love the Red Sox have since Carl Yastrzemski played way back when! Hate the Yankees always have always will!
Been a Sox fan since 1975!
I was elated when they drafted Benny!
Loved his interview after the game. When asked what his plan was if he missed it.
His answer if you try to think of a plan it’s too late. Make the catch game over, Miss it game over.
Love the Yankees…hate the Red Sox
But what’s that among us two hog fans
I have been a Yankee fan my whole life, but watch Boston play quite a bit now to watch Andrew Benintendi. It will be interesting to see if Boston pays him now or waits until he is eligible for free agency. He is from Cincinnati…he may be a Red one day.
He is a complete player. Excellent fielder with a very accurate, good arm. He is a smart hitter who is very productive. He is a very good baserunner. He just doesn’t have a weakness that I see…he doesn’t hit for great power, but he hits enough home runs. If he played at Yankeee Stadium, he might hit 25-30 with that short right field. They may try to sign him one day to get him off Boston’s roster. He is tough against the Yanks.
I don’t like the Red Sox or the Dodgers…but I think Boston is just too strong. What an outfield they have…incredible defense.

I’ve made one trip to Fenway. It was an eye opener. They were crushing Baltimore and the fans were using every bad word you can imagine (mostly about hating the Yankee’s). There was a group of college kids in front of us. I’ll not say what they did on a G rated board.
My trip to Philly was also an eye opener. It was Ryan Howard’s 2nd year and he was being mentioned as MVP that year. His first two at bats the Philly crowd chanted MVP, MVP - he struck out both trips. Every time at bat after that they loudly booed him. Crazy…
