Looks like his buyout is now $3Million–but double that amount for any Big 12 School (gee, I wonder who that might be?). $3 Million doesn’t seem like much if one of the Blue Bloods is ever interested. But when Texas eventually comes calling, I wonder if a $6 Million buyout and $5+ Million a year salary will be worth it to them?
At any rate, congrats to Beard. Amazing what he’s accomplished at Tech in a very short time. I’m definitely a fan of his, but I am curious to see if he can sustain the high level of success he’s had in Lubbock.
