In the Hall way at Veterans Medical Center

Young Veteran walking down the hall with s handsome black with Red Running Razorback emblazoned with

“ARKANSAS RAZORBACKS “ on it

I say “Wooo Pig Soooie”

He looks stunned / waiting for a size rack I’m sure

I ask: “Are you from Arkansas?”

He says “Yes I am …from Little Rock”

I state “I’m a Arkansawer in exile ”

Young Veteran: “ I’m not in exile - I’m invading”

We spoke for a bit - I can’t tell you how special it was to meet this young Veteran - it was a breath of fresh Razorback air”

I’ve been doing mission work in Tennessee for over 20 years. So far I’ve helped add 1 son-in-law and 2 grandsons to the Razorback fold.

The youngest grandson is 8 and when asked by anyone “what do you want to be when you grow up”…his answer is always An Arkansas Razorback Football player. His friend at school get on him about not being a Vol fan…he does not care. Hogs all the way.
