I scrolled back on the camera feed and they started @ 8:31 PM and finished around 3:00 AM. The crane on the left did not move all day, so I suspect something on it was broken and they finally got it fixed late in the day. Once they started on the rest of the sign, they finished it completely, which is what you can bet they planned to do when they installed the first piece. Interesting to watch the time lapse shots to see how they work the job.
The crane wasn’t broken down, the plan the whole time was to put it up after the other workers had left. They didn’t bring in the portable spot lights to do it during the day.
They brought in the portable spotlights the night before, got two cranes in place, placed the first section, and then stopped. They then left the portable spotlights in place and one crane in place, never moving all day long, and then, finally, at 8:30 PM, they started back up and worked until 3:00 AM to get it all done. Do you think they didn’t work through the night the first night to get it all done just because they like to pay the rental on cranes and spotlights for an extra day?
The cranes are still sitting there, in your theory, they both are broken down, lol. Watch the construction camera from yesterday, the crane moves, also, where is this repair truck to fix your “broken” crane.
After over 40 years of construction experience, I know contractors don’t start a difficult job with very expensive equipment and immediately stop, wait a full day, leaving that equipment doing nothing, and THEN finish the job the next day, unless something is bad wrong. I am guessing the crane broke down, but I know that project was not intended to work that way. JMVVVVVVVVHO
Let’s see. They started the job at night, stopped during the day (not for weather reasons or anything like that) and went back to finish it at night. That sounds pretty intentional to me. I would suspect they wanted to use the crane or cranes for something else during the day. I’m not a contractor or an architect (although I did three semesters of pre-arch and architecture school many moons ago) but that makes sense to me.
Regardless of the time it took to complete the assembly of the hog on the scoreboard, it appears the job is just about complete. I can’t tell of anything that needs to be done on the exterior either inside the stadium or on the back. There does appear to a spot to put the stadium name on the back of the scoreboard, but other than that I can’t tell one thing that remains undone. Mostly just removing a few boxes or things like that. It’s possible there is still another week’s worth of finishing touches on the interior, but the exterior looks complete to me. Maybe some of you can find a spot or two I missed.
I’m looking through the construction camera linked near the top of the page of this forum. It’s updated about every 10-15 minutes. They provide pretty good views, but even when you enlarge, it’s hard to see some detail. Can’t see inside the building at all.
When I was looking up the nighttime photos from the north the other night, I also checked out the same time period from the south. All the suites and club areas were brightly lit and, I would assume, interior work was going on. The camera is not good enough to provide much detail on what that might have been though.

I looked thru the “Photos/Videos” shown at the top of this page and could not find the cam. Can you help some more?
