Arkansas guard signees Derrian Ford and Nick Smith both led their teams to King Cotton Classic championships in their respective brackets.
Ford and Magnolia, who has now won 63 of its 64 games, took out St. Louis Christian Brothers, Shreveport Huntington and Little Rock Parkview en route to winning the Creed Bracket.
Ford had 29 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists in his team’s 67-58 championship game victory over Little Rock Parkview.
Smith had a triple double with 32 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in his team’s second round win over Antioch (Tenn.) Cane Ridge.
He followed that up with a game-high 33 points in an 82-72 King Bracket title game win over Texas power Beaumont United in the King Bracket title game.
