His Navarro College team was supposed to get its season started today, but that game didn’t get played and instead the team just scrimmaged.
The 6-10, 240-pound Mawein and Navarro are now set to open the season with a game against Coastal Bend College Wednesday night at 6 p.m.
AK had 14 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists in 83-72 loss to McLennan Community College. He was 3 of 6 from the field, 1 of 2 from three and made 7 of 8 free throws.
The schedule made it look like it was the opening game of the season but I guess it was a scrimmage all along. I was like Dudley in thinking it was the opening game of the season.
They open on Wednesday against Coastal Bend College.
