Arkansas commits and others in Hoop Scoop 150

  1. Courtney Ramey, 6’2, 2018, PG, Webster Groves (H.S.) MO - Ramey has quick hands & feet, is an excellent defender, & is equally adept at playing either guard spot, thanks to his great feel for the game, excellent ball handling & passing skills, terrific moves to the basket, & ability to knock down the outside shot. He also has great poise & court savvy, the team that he plays on usually wins, and, if he was a stock, now would be a good time to buy due to the fact that he does not get the respect that he deserves in most of the other national rankings.

  2. Reginald Perry, 6’9, 2018, PF, Thomasville (H.S.) GA (Arkansas) - Perry has the skills, athleticism, & ability to score from both mid-range & behind the arc. However, it’s his continued growth, low post footwork, ability to score in the post, & major upside that really gets us excited. He picked the Razorbacks over schools like Florida State, Miami-FL, Mississippi State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Auburn, Alabama, Arizona State, Iowa State, & Kansas State.

  3. DeShang “D.J.” Weaver, 6’7, 2018, PF, Houston (Cypress Falls) TX - The value of Weaver’s stock appears to have dropped dramatically after being sidelined much of this past year with an ACL injury. However, he was one of the best players when we saw him prior to his injury a year ago at the John Lucas Midwest Invitational Camp & we liked the fact that he is versatile enough to play both inside & outside, has a soft touch around the basket, can knock down the three, has great length, & is very active on the boards.

  4. T.J. Moss, 6’4, 2018, 2G, Memphis (East) TN - Moss will need to get bigger & stronger physically, but we’re talking about somebody with big time athleticism, excellent quickness to the ball, & the ability to play above the rim., He also has a silky smooth demeanor, is equally adept at beating with his ability to get to the basket & knocking down the outside shot, & he still appears to be a long way away from reaching his potential.

  5. Ethan Henderson, 6’7, 2018, PF, Little Rock (Parkview) AR (Arkansas) -Henderson is one of the marquee players in the Razorbacks #1-ranked recruiting class for the Class of 2018 & he has a good combination of size, skills, energy, athleticism, & mobility. He also runs the court & handles the ball extremely well for his size, scores around the basket & is a good rebounder and shot blocker, & is one of those guys who seems to get better every time we see him play.
