Bonnin to pitch for Reindl

Reindl gets shelled. Our pitching is questionable right now. Reindl has been disappointing all year.

Does anybody know why we have our freshman phenom, .400-hitter, batting 8th? It may be a perfect place if he can get a clutch hit in the top of the ninth.

Probably because it gives the top of the order a chance to drive him home. The four hitters hitting behind Kjerstad most games are Shaddy (.338), Biggers (.345), Cole (.330) and Martin (.346). Kjerstad reached three times tonight and scored two runs.
Putting Kjerstad low in the order also adds balance to the lineup. Putting him between two right-handers makes the opposing coach make some tough decisions about who to pitch in that sequence.
What I think you’ll see Arkansas do is bat him lower in the order against left-handers and higher against right-handers, when it is becoming obvious the Razorbacks are going to platoon. The same goes for Dominic Fletcher.
Thanks, Matt. Makes sense.
Cole and Bonfield are struggling! I wouldn’t mind putting Shaddy in the two hole and moving Cole to 5 th Ole Miss has a nasty throwing left-hander Thursday night I would have Martin getting clean up or MacFarland. We can’t have two guys in the top 4 struggling
