No surprise here: the Oct. 1 game will be on CBS at 2:30 p.m.
Why is game day not coming here???
Not announced yet. I think they will be there if the Hogs win against aTm…and maybe if they lose a close one. There are not many options that day.
The College GameDay location for Oct. 1 will not be announced until late Saturday or early Sunday.
Only way we would have a chance at Gameday , we need to win this Sat
Game day is going to Florida Tennessee this week. Not saying they wouldn’t do back to back sec games but I would figure they will go elsewhere regardless whether we win or not.
I’m just upset that we don’t have a night game!! We rarely ever get to pack RRS at night! You would think seeing how great the atmosphere was against Texas it would be at night but no we’re going to be stuck playing in the heat.
The Missouri State game was at night and the crowd was great. I’m sure at least one of the November games will be at night, too.
Yeah but you know what I mean…This is the biggest game of the year against Alabama no way that should not be at night!
Unless CBS has a doubleheader, the biggest SEC games are always mid-afternoon.
Yeah I wonder who ESPN is showing in that time slot?? pretty much guarantee you it’s not a bigger game than our game with Alabama but it is what it is.
NC State at Clemson if we lose this weekend would be my guess. Of course if one of those teams lose then there’s Kentucky at Ole Miss or vice versa.
Kentucky and Ole Miss I think is at11:00. There is no bigger game than Arkansas- Alabama that day and it would have been awesome for Game day to come and it be the prime Time game at night so our fans to show the rest of college football that they can be as good as any in the country.
Time does matter which is why I think Clemson has a great shot.
ESPN loss because a lot more people would have tuned in to watch our game with Alabama.
Biggest game of the year means CBS gets first dibs, and as Matt pointed out, CBS is almost always 2:30.
Once CBS is out of the way in 2024, ESPN and ABC could put Arkansas-Bama (which will also be in RRS that year) as a night game.
Disney will put the marquee SEC games at night. I have no doubt about that.
CBS is the biggest audience. You want to be on that 2:30 game on CBS. I guess I’ve always preferred the afternoon games. Easy morning. Easy night. But then again, I was worried about deadlines and travel. If you are sitting at home, it does not matter.
Well I’m obviously not going but I just know there’s a lot more noise at the night games for obvious reasons
I know you want to believe that, but they will pick the one they think is best for viewership. That’s what they get paid to do. You get an opinion you don’t have to be held accountable for.
Personally, I think if we win this weekend, we will get that spot. But if we lose, I don’t think it’s as hot a ticket as the Clemson game.
