Arizona vs. Hawaii -- this is pretty cool

2016 marks the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor. And of course the major loss of life of US troops that morning in Hawaii was on the battleship USS Arizona, which blew up in the harbor. UArizona is playing Hawaii Saturday and has unveiled special uniforms commemorating the ill-fated battleship. The bell from the ship, by the way, hangs in the student union on the Tucson campus.

Very Cool…

We visited Pearl Harbor and the Arizona last month. It was very, very moving … Especially, the added names from the ship mates who survived only to ask and be granted permission that their ashes be interred with their lost shipmates when they passed.
