I’m headed over for the OSU game and looking forward to finally seeing G-I Arena for a game. Who else is going?
My sons and grandsons will be there. Of course they live there so it’s a pretty easy decision.
OSU fell to 0-6 in conf tonight after losing to K-St. They have some really close losses to Kan, Bay, TX, ISU, Maryland…beat the crap out of a good Wichita St team in Wichita. They’re a lot better than their record indicates.
Maybe they were a lot better. If you lose six in a row, there must be a reason; right now they’re 0-for-2017. Wonder if they have some injuries.
They’re really young, 10 FR & SO. Looks like they’re just trying to learn how to win.
Lost by 1 @ 16-2 Big 10 leader Maryland after leading by 12 late.
Lost by 3 @ TX after leading by 7 in the 2nd half.
Lost by 4 @ #2 Baylor after leading by 7 in the 2nd half.
Lost by 10 to ISU after leading by 5 late in the 2nd half.
Lost by 7 @ #1 KU after leading by 11 early and tied with under 10mins left.
Lost by 8 to KSU after leading by 5 in the 2nd half.
I don’t see any major injuries, just a young team that doesn’t know how to finish yet. We better not overlook them.
Jawun Evans, their sophomore PG, is pretty good. He’s moved up draft boards and is currently projected as a late first, early second round type player in a loaded 2017 draft. Has struggled a bit lately against some of the Big 12’s best, but he’ll be one of the best PGs the Hogs face this year.
I’m excited to cover the game. Growing up in Tulsa, I went to several OSU games with friends when Sutton was coaching there and they had the Graham brothers and John Lucas III. Gallagher Iba is a really cool venue.
The confines of Gallagher-Iba are just that–the fans are right on top of you there. The joint really jumps when the Cowboys are doing well. It’s as loud as any arena I’ve been in just because of the acoustics.
