Anybody else glad to see Muss

Warming up to the idea of playing Graham more?

He had 9 rebounds and 4 assists in 25 minutes yesterday, and we KNOW he can score.

Yes!

He is so clever around the basket. His defensive rebounding has improved. Muss gets what he demands.

He could sure help his cause for even more playing time if he’d be a more reliable free throw shooter. He’s got nice touch in his mid range and low post shots. Big men who can make free throws are such a benefit.

Was very impressed at times with Graham on Saturday, especially on the glass. Part of me just thinks Eric isn’t quite sure what to do with him. Yeah, he was good in a couple areas. Then again he was 2 of 6 on interior looks, turned the ball over 3 times and dropped to 33% at the line for the season after an 0-of-4 day. What do you do with that? I’m not sure.

The Light bulb is coming on and why I haven’t ever given up on him,He was a very good player for Ariz St so I know he can do it,He is making progress and can be a huge asset to us if he can continue to get better

Since Jan. 14, he’s 5 of 15 from the floor. Since Jan. 7, he’s 1 of 10 at the free throw line. For the season, he’s turned the ball over on nearly 25% of possessions he’s been on the floor. I get that he’s capable of scoring.

Graham confirmed how crafty he is when he pointed to Pinion and then motioned towards the corner before the last second free-throw miss. Tipped the rebound right to him for a chance at OT.

Impressive!

This is why I don’t get the love for him… he misses so many really close in shots and can’t buy a free throw.

Teams could turn to a version of Hack-a-Shaq when he has a gimme at the basket. The downside to that is who do you choose to administer the hack. Other than that, total fouls are not a huge concern due to our average free throw shooting.

Aloha,
No. Prefer a healthy Kamani Johnson. Graham is a horrendous FT shooter and takes too many poor quality shots. Appears to react too slowly on defense.

Graham is an interesting piece, but I still get why he drives Muss crazy.
Why Graham doesn’t get it is beyond me…
He doesn’t rebound well for his size.
He doesn’t block shots.
His man constantly beats him down the floor.
His post moves are really nice…when he actually finishes them.
And the FT’S…c’mon, man.
It’s the same miss…EVERY TIME…
Straight, but long.
Take a step back, and let it fly.
Graham could REALLY help us, but when will he?

Thinking his defense is what was holding him back. Do you think his defense has improved? I can’t quite conclude that yet. Or is it just desperation on Muss’s part and the foul trouble the Mitchells seem to be in perpetually?

If Muss can’t figure this team out how can we?
I would love to hear Eric’s view and expectation for each player when he brought them in and compare it with what he has gotten.
I just don’t want to see this entire bench transfer because of not playing. I have liked what I have seen from Ford, and Pinion has had very valuable moments.
I think both the basketball (both coaches) have had issues of fearing to use their benches.
Both Sam and Mike’s teams have worn down as the seasons have gone on.
Mike’s coaching baffles me. In the last game I think only played Riley briefly and team collapsed in the second half,
If you are going to end up with mediocre records anyway you might as well see what you’ve got.
I know Scottie will disagree and I respect him, but playing not lose has cost this school wins.

I like Graham. I think he is real crafty around the bucket with the ball but just think he is in a slump with his shots. We saw one game where he hit like 3 or 4 in a row in possessions but now is just barely missing. He can get his spot and his shot and if he is hitting that can take the pressure off the outside. Now the FTs……ohhhhweeeeee…that’s a whole other story right there!

I feel eyes differ substantially when viewing an event so be patient with my comments. I tend to fall toward Scotties’ view in that I saw three crucial plays in the last couple of minutes where Graham simply botched a score. I do appreciate the fact there was not anyone else to turn to and it was likely too late to reverse engines going to an isolate drive game rather going inside. The turnovers and failure to finish might be attributed to a lack of prior play in similar situations and this is not an observation where effort was lacking. Graham had position and should have scored on three occasions thus eliminating a need for an OT. I wonder sometimes what he was doing last year that is different from these botched receptions we see along with his contributions,
