Any recruits / transfers to cherry pick from Oklahoma

Any recruits / transfers to cherry pick from Oklahoma now that Lincoln Riley has fled to go to USC and the Pac-12 before he has to try out the SEC meat grinder?

Also seeing / hearing Bob Stoops will coach Oklahoma for their bowl game. WOW… he has been out of the game for several years now… doesn’t know their players or their playbook. I realize Riley was his assistant and maybe nothing changed much but still… unusual to say the least.

Was thinking the same thing Votan…you beat me to it for the post. Would love to pick up some good players that aren’t sure of OU now that Riley is leaving.

Hasn’t been a better time in recent memory for Arkansas football to recruit.

OU-Riley leaves
TX-beat them, Sark dumpster fire
LSU-beat them, bigger dumpster fire
A&M-Beat them
Mizzou-Headed in the wrong direction
MSU/Aub-Both finish 6-6

As much as this is true, Drinkwitz must be selling recruits something because he’s landing some good ones.

Looks to me like Riley was too chicken to play in the SEC. We actually play defense in this conference. USC ain’t what it used to be either, but all Lil Lincoln Log has to overcome in the “PAC plays too late” is basically Oregon. So Riley is basically safe and soft. I hope we go after all his SEC quality players, and I wish Mike Woods success at whatever junior high he is hired to coach.

Was this woods last yr to play at OU? If so wonder what he’s thinking now.

Woods is a 4-year guy so he can play another year.

Aloha,
Compared to Oklahoma, IF your wealthy enough, California is a great place to live. Superior QOL, nice weather, plenty of things to do. A ton of D1 high quality athletes within 100 miles. Easier to dominate in the PAC-10 than SEC. Smart move on his part.

West Coast is about pro sports. USC is close to being a pro team.

Several 5 star recruits have just decommitted from OU. Time to start going after them. Even if you only land one.

Aloha,
Lets see how many follow their coach to USC.

You mean they can beat Detroit?

No. Meaning they have always had some illegal breaks involving cash. Does not seem so relevant now with NIL.

Keep in mind that ut’s decline & lack of faith in Sark is also prime opportunity to cherry pick their recruits too & gain a stronger recruiting foothold in Texas. They have a couple of de-commits & perhaps more to come.

Very seldom do I disagree with Guy, but I will on that one. Out of the 50 states, it would be my number 51 for me, especially the LA area. On the few times I have to go there, the best part is getting the heck out of there.

Definitely not pro small business. Been there on many occasions and I love the weather and natural beauty. The people not so much. I might as well live in France and wear USA adds on my clothes. Italy would rival California. Anti-USA, Anti-small business and pro-labor. Strikes as common as rain storms. The single advantage of California is they still have a lot of English speaking folks. Might be a wash in LA. San Diego has outstanding weather. I loved Silicon Valley area- nature wise. Breaks my heart to see what has become of San Francisco. It was once one of my favorite destinations. Now I prefer Florida and Georgia coastal area. Sure hope we can land a few of those 4*-5* jumping from the Okie ship. They were robbed in the Bedlam game. Likely to be a constant next year for them and the Horns,
