Andrew Irwin makes US Pole Vault team for World Championships

The first three place finishers in the US Track&Field Championships currently in progress on the campus of Sacramento State go to London for the 2017 World Championships.

Ex-Hog Andrew Irwin now with Arkansas Vault Club came in second with a vault of 18-10 1/4. Coming in first was old collegiate rival from Ole Miss, Sam Kendricks who had the best Vault of 19-8 1/4. Kendricks has the best vault in the world this year.

Through 3 days of competition, Daina Harper had the next best performance coming in sixth in 400M final.

Tyson Gay, Jarrion Lawson and Kongo Cotton did not make the 100M final.

Through first half of Women’s Heptathlon, Tailyah Brooks, Alex Gochenour and Payton Stanbaugh are 4-5-6. Hopefully, one of them breaks into top three,
