An intriguing guy with a wart

Chris Gans at New Mexico State has worked his way up from successful JC coach, to long-time assistant (mainly at Wichita State) to a good one year stint at Bowling Green that ended in disaster (fired after being videoed drunkenly harassing women in a bar), back to an assistant’s job at Wichita State, and finally, a very impressive two year stint at NMSU (58-11 and two NCAA appearances).

He’s never won less than 20 games in the nine years he’s been a head coach. He uses an even bigger rotation than MA-11 guys played at least 25 games and all averaged at least nine minutes a game for the Aggies. They scored 78 points a game and gave up 64, and they took attempted 28 threes a game. They probably should have beat Auburn in the tournament and they lost by three at Kansas earlier in the year.

So if the personal background checks out okay he might be a pretty intriguing candidate.

Dear God.
