Which will make it nicer but actually slightly smaller. Replacing some seats with suites, that kind of thing.
The same initiative will result in major improvements to Coleman Coliseum as well, but will also come with a loss of seats in favor of more luxury accommodations.
Luxury accommodations: that is what some failed to grasp about the expansion/update to RRS.
This is the trend in basketball right now. Rupp Arena is going through a similar loss of seats, addition of suites renovation, and Tennessee did the same several years ago. I think Arkansas probably will do something similar in the coming years.
They better make it club seating, they haven’t sold all the suites the past 3/4 years.
Also noticed that Bama is adding ten Founders Suites at BDS. Hmm, where have I heard that one? Copying much, Bummer?
We charged $3 to $3.5 million for ours. Bummer is charging $5 million. And for a state with only one Fortune 500 company, there seem to be no shortage of people willing to pay. I somehow suspect Mercedes Benz will have one of those suites.
