Falcons won 30-15. Highly doubt there was a recruit Baylor wanted from the AF roster.
Good point Richard. In talking to Tim Horton last August he mentioned that their team is more talented than some suspect. He said there were four players in NFL camps who were on last year’s team. He said some on this year’s team would be in NFL training camps.
One thing I did not know, Air Force does not have their roster in the summer. They do internships at air bases around the world. Tim said it’s not a concern. He said their roster reports in shape and knows the plays despite leaving for two months.
I was rooting big time for Air Force. They played really well. Baylor falls right behind Texas in the teams I love to hate. Goes way back…
I think I restrict my dislike to the color orange. I think that is totally the fault of being born to hate Texas. So I’ve lumped in Tennessee, Oklahoma State, Syracuse, Illinois, etc. I really hate ORANGE. Oh and Notre Dame, like anything else they seem to get their own special status, so I also have a special kind of hate for them.
My worst game last year was when ND played Texas… all I could do was root for a meteor to strike the stadium no other solution would be any good.
That wouldn’t have anything to do with coach Grant Teaf telling his players take out Steve Little was it?
It might. But as the late comedian Jerry Clower pointed out, dirty foortball was present in Waco long before Teaff was: “The meek shall inherit the Earth, and you just inherited a mouth full of it!”
I also noticed that the AFA QB Daniels decided to do the grad transfer thing and possibly attend law school, which he has mentioned as wanting to do. AFA doesn’t redshirt, but he could do a thing called a turnback which is basically skipping the spring semester at AFA and then finishing his degree in the fall, allowing him to play his fifth year under COVID. But other Air Force players have done the grad transfer thing; one of them transferred to Alabama in 2020 as their backup punter.
AF players do have the option of graduate school before their required military service, but there are a whole bunch of conditions on that.
That was the beginning of my deep dislike. Since then they have given me many more reasons. I’m a lifelong Baptist too.
I’m guessing AF didn’t have any opt outs.
I’ll add you to my prayer list.
You’ve been on my prayer list for a while!
Yup, don’t have the turmoil. Probably didn’t take too many days off after their season ended either.
Arkansas actually had a running back who transferred to UA when Ken Hatfield came from Air Force. JR Brown
Aloha,
Touchdown!
Grant was a huge hypocrite. His Baylor teams were notoriously dirty players.
UA…Campus of Champions

I was raised Southern Baptist, but got over it. Just sayin.
So you now can drink in front of other people?
Growing up in Pine Bluff we called the drive through windows at the liquor stores “the Baptist window”.
Another funny thing about liquor and Baptists….My wife and her friends discovered on a Mission Trip they all had a glass of wine on occasion. They cracked me up about it. Now every time we’re together they break out the wine. It’s kinda like forbidden fruit from their upbringing……
And I have about 3 beers per month. Usually with pizza. Times change for sure.
Beer & pizza the best combo ever.
Unless you are doing the buying, and then I’ll have the most expensive red wine that they have on the menu by the glass.
Good info there. Scouting report filed away. No dinner invite for you.
