According to a story I just read

Two-time transfers, like the Mitchell twins, must get a waiver to play immediately. Doesn’t matter if their coach was fired or anything else. And the waiver must come from the NCAA. Remember when we were waiting for the waiver for Connor Vanover that never came? We may see a lot more of that with the portal.

They seem to have gotten a lot more relaxed on anything and everything having to do with transfers since Covid

Cal was a problem when it came to Connor.

Will RI be a problem for the twins getting a waiver?

Shouldn’t be, the coaching staff changed, so there shouldn’t be any ill will to do them that way.

That’s a different situation. Cal wanted Connor back and fought the immediate eligibility. Rhode Island doesn’t want the Twins back (burned bridges), so they will be happy to waive them for immediate eligilibity.

You guys are missing the point. The NCAA has to approve these waivers, not the school. And indications are that they’re not going to be very lenient. So there will be a lot of people sitting around, like CV did for whatever reason.

Not to worried about it. Good chance we will get another for this year and have the twins next year

I wouldn’t want 2 scholarships wasted for 2 years on the Twins.

The two scholarships this year may not be this year
