With Deon Stewart and Dorian Gerald redshirting due to Injuries, does this effect the number of recruits signed for the 2020 recruiting class
They probably will. Both of them would have come off the 85; now they won’t (assuming Stewart is granted the sixth year, which is not automatic). Gerald still has a redshirt year but had he played as expected, he would have finished his eligibility.
Deon Stewart being granted a sixth year should be only a formality. See NCAA rule 126.96.36.199.1 paragraph (a)
They’re still on scholarship if they redshirt.
You have two less seniors using up their eligibility in 2019, also two scholarship counters against scholarship limit of 85 in 2020.
The answer to the question is yes.
