33 years ago today this happened

Which brings up a fun story. My wife and I were at the game in Austin. She was five months pregnant with our only child. Before we played Dayton, UNC upset #1 ranked Oklahoma. During that game, the UNC pep band was playing during a time out and my wife started laughing; “The baby is dancing to the music!”

That brings back alot of memories of how many good shooters we had at that time. Of course everyone looked so very young then too.

Ooh, I hate that UNC fight song. They played it incessantly when we beat them in Pine Bluff in '84 and I can still hear it echoing in my head. Glad it has good memories for you!

Actually, as I recall, my son-to-be was dancing to “Twist and Shout.”

The UNC pep band was sitting directly behind me in Pine Bluff, so close that I’m surprised the trombonist didn’t hit me in the back of the head. I’m not sure that my current hearing loss isn’t due in part to that afternoon. And they played it over and over and over…
