3-second Lane Rule

With the extended width of the lane, I expected 3-second violations from both teams as the players would likely forget about the extension. But, I don’t recall any calls. I timed the Providence players standing in the lane for more than 6 seconds several times. I would have thought that would be a special emphasis for the refs given the wider lane.

I was at work and didn’t get to watch all that closely but I wonder if the wider lane provided more room for the motion we apparently showed on offense. Perhaps Scottie or Duds can address that.

Maybe the refs couldn’t count to 6.:grinning::grinning::grinning:. In all seriousness, maybe they were told to give the players some leeway so not to slow the game down?
