I see us winning two out of the three (TCU, A&M, and @South Carolina) and losing @Alabama, vs Auburn, and @LSU (even though I don’t see them being as good as what everyone seems to think). I am about as diehard of a Hog fan as it gets, but my patience is running real thin with Coach B. I was on the Bielema Train when he first got on The Hill, but now I’m ready to start competing for some top spots in the SEC and not just some mom n pop bowl games.

CBB is revered by the core portion of the fan base. He is in that no man land where a bad loss can cause a number of people to cross over. I think if he gets 8 wins he will be safe, but in my book he should hit 9 or else. This starting a football season with no hope and apathy is getting old. Improving APR by another .01% can only take you so far. Our APR is on par of Missouri State’s and worst than Bama’s

I am going WHOLE HOG homer this year and have bought into what Austin Allen and others are saying about the leadership and learning lesson from last season’s colossal collapse. I also think Paul Rhoads is a better DC than Robb Smith will ever be, and hopefully, the 3/4 alignment will make a much needed statement. As Clay Henry, one of the best writers on staff [in my opinion] has said, there seems to be much more team speed on both sides of the ball. Speed kills. There are two games which I don’t think Arkansas can win, but otherwise:

The two most important games, impact wise, are early. Unlike Tech a couple of years ago, lets take care of business at home and beat TCU. A&M is a must win. TCU is huge, but lose to the Aggies [again] and the wheels come off.

Inside the 5 yard line with 3 plays score TD’s. Our weakness last year in the past on offense was our strength the Oline. That has to be a fact this year.
3-4 defense. Simple just by being aggressive in any defense is better than what we watched last year. Glad that Rob Smith is gone and took the bend no break scheme with him. Hope we see the same type of impact with Rhoades as D.C. As what we’ve seen with Enos as the OC.
I hope that Enos has learned to pile on points in the second half after the last two meltdowns.
Coach B. needs to motivate this team and keep them ready to play 4 quarters!

Speed, Speed, Scheme, and discipline. We are going to play faster on defense, our receivers have more speed and play making ability, Our new defensive scheme will fit the bill with more athleticism on the field as long as we play mistake free and aggressive defense. 3-4 defense adds 3 to 4 more wins if you include the bowl win over Wisconsin, wouldn’t that be a dandy. I strongly feel the way the hogs lost the 2 games at the end of the season last year has left a chip on the shoulder and we will be motivated and prepared to compete at a higher level.
